The Osram P-VIP 200/1.0 E17.5A is a 200 watt DLP-LCD TV lamp with 1.0mm arc gap in a 43x48mm elliptical dichroic coated reflector. This item is made by Osram, but is also commonly available from Philips, Phoenix, Iwasaki, and various Chinese manufacturers. This is a DLP-LCD TV replacement lamp without housing/cage assembly. The lamp enclosure is not included. This component is intended to be installed into your existing housing. We offer Osram/Sylvania brand name lamps, not generic versions commonly referred to as "OEM Compatible". Generic DLP & LCD lamps have a high failure rate and typically a much shorter life span. Purchasing the lamp assembly from the projector manufacturer or their distributors will cost much more since you are buying both the lamp and the housing, even though the lamp in reflector is the only expendable component in the housing. In most cases the only tools required to replace this lamp are a screwdriver and a pair of pliers. It is also a good idea to wear cotton or latex gloves and clean lamp window with alcohol wipe to avoid fingerprints.
