The VAC300FC5 is a 300 watt Ceramic Xenon Short Arc (AKA Cermax) Lamp from Ushio is primarily used for endoscopic lightsources.  This lamp has a 700 hour warranty, with a 1200 hour typical life, higher brightness and improved stability over the PerkinElmer PE300BF.  The VAC300FC5 has a 1.2mm arc gap in a silver coated parabolic reflector with a 1" sapphire window, which provides 6000 lumens at 5600K. This lamp has 5 tapped holes at the back, with 33mm diameter electrical and thermal contact surfaces at front and back. The PE300BF is 33mm diameter x 42mm long (excluding tip-off) white and nickel finish with Ushio logo.
